Brief Description
The Interinstitutional Commission Against Trafficking-in- Persons (CIT) is responsible for addressing the problem of trafficking in persons in Guatemala. The CIT coordinates government efforts against trafficking, and implements the national anti-trafficking action plan for 2018-2024. The CIT organizes periodic meetings to follow up on actions to prevent, detect, care, protect, repatriate, prosecute and punish the crime of trafficking in persons.
